Hello girls,
Lets face it, at any given time, its difficult for us to meet f2f. After marriage, it becomes herculian task to fix a schedule and plan to meet as family. Weekends are the only time for cleaning, catching up with spouse and kids!
BP - Bible & Prayer is the first thing that gets hit, when we are busy, or worried. Once BP goes down, the rest of the issues cling like magnet.
Hence we started the Whatsapp group to help connect with each other to encourage our time alone with God. But honestly, a group of size 200+, how can it help. Nobody knows everyone. May be we knew each other occasionly in office. Or may be not.
But the truth is, all of us need a buddy to share, to be accountable for.
- Many have no friends/less friends after marriage.
- Even if you have friends, we talk superficially alone ( destructively like lamenting) , and not about the real difficulties constructively.
- Many are First Generation Believers, who don't have parents, or family who encourage them to Christ. [Some moms still ask daily, ' Did you read Bible?' to their kids, FGB have no one to encourage]
- Many of us are Lukewarm Christians, Church goes, but not doers. [ Family Prayer is a strange concept to many]
Hence the need for a buddy, where you can be your own self.
- To share any question
- To share your burdens, prayer requests
- To pray for other person, as your own.
- To check on their BP regularly.
- To encourage them in Christ.
The Wives group, has bunch of girls
- from fellowship,
- who were once part of Rockers fellowship, but not any more ( Ex Infy)
- Wives of Rockers.
That means, not everyone will know everyone, we are actually bunch of strangers, but one family/body in Christ. That puts us all in the same boat. Each of our families, situations, experiences, learnings, life lessons are different. But our God is the same, and he delivers us from all difficulties.
So a buddy group is a group of 3 wives. The primary purpose of BG is
- to pray for each other.
- pray with each other.
- Encourage reading bible, and even
- read bible togethar.
- share what the Lord did for you!
Some Guidelines
1 Fix a time, a day for 5 mins of prayer for each other ( need not be on call)
2 Get to know each other a lil bit, Name, location, How associated with Rockers, How they got saved. How long married, Any kids, working,
3 If possible, call and talk to each other.
4 Pray for any specific request shared between the group.
5 Pray for other common points like Health, Job, Salvation, Family, conflicts, In laws, Rockers, Church, Country, Kids
6 Please be sensitive to each other's need and requests. Rely on God's Spirit to encourage, strengthen each other in Christ. Do not use worldly ideas, advises, remember all of us are in the same boat, and need God's divine wisdom to move forward.
