Being a new mom is exciting as well as overwhelming! Your body which you own seems to have a brain of it is own! Like a switch turned on there are so many new things, which you would have started noticing right from pregnancy.
Here are few tips for your pregnancy and after birth.
You may have been just married or long married, had a baby earlier but pregnancy can always be full of surprises.
-Remember our God knew your baby before it was formed. And knows each day of the baby in the womb growth! (Reference)
- Eat well, sleep well. Both is difficult! Lol. But try to eat healthy - lot of greens, almonds, beets, carrots, loads of water 5liters!, one egg a day, green grams, and other pulses, fruits! Fruits are better than juices! Tender coconut.
- Do some exercises! Walk, squat.
- If sleep is daunting read Bible! Use pillows for your back legs and tummy too!
- if you are working, try to come to work till you 9th month. Be active as much as you can.
- your hormones play around. So you may get angry quickly, feel lonely and desperate... The quick fix is to vent it out to God and/or a good Christian friend.
- tiredness and exhaustion will be default... But they last only this 9 months!! So try to enjoy this beautiful phase while it lasts! Take a belly snap each week!
- shop for your feeding nighties, nursing bras, good flat footwear, xxxl dresses!
- if you are in Facebook, join breastfeeding mother's group.
- keep resting on God and don't forget to reach us for any help or queries
Tips for new moms after birth
- learn about 'the golden hour'
-no matter what the situation, rejoice... C section or normal..doesn't really matter, you are not winning a medal! God knows what's best for you.
- if you don't have a supportive environment, hold on to God! He's dependable! Your hormones are at its peak, so it's natural to get overwhelmed, angry and desperate, thanks to sleepless nights, and recovering body. Trust me, these days will be just gone too fast. So till then enjoy while it lasts.
- take rest. Delegate as much as you can to family , friends. Pray for favor in the eyes of people. Trust me, God provided angels to help me give birth to three babies without my mom around ( she went to heaven before my wedding)
- make poondu kulambu, have mother Horlicks, Have one flask hot milk for night duty, have beetroot poriyal,Wheat chapathi,Garlic and Vellam, soaked almonds and other nuts (handful),Carrots, beet roots juices and soups, Paal suraa, Khadai la vaangina legiyum (Soubhagya sunthi), more milk, good hydration with water, tender coconut before it gets too hot, avaraikkaai, Poondu Paal daily, Spinach and greens, 1 tumbler milk and 1 tumbler water along with malam poondu, boil until it becomes half..Jeera water if you take regularly, baby will not have motion problem,2 hours once keep taking something...
