I have witnessed with my own eyes, how regularly reading the word of God can transform a person in all their aspects of life - *360° change.*
My husband was born n brought up in Christian family with praying parents. He is a prayer warrior who is found in kneeling postiton for everything. He mostly read only the book of Psalms and did not have a reading plan or so to know the Bible in entirity. I have been praying for many years for him to have a closer walk with God and to know the deeper truths of the Bible which would help him to get out of the *cultural/generational principles* they were following without referring the Bible. By immense grace he started *reading 1 year Bible reading plan* (Now he has completed 6 times reading the Bible) .. The following are the transformation i see in him:
1) Earlier he used to have I know everything attitude but the Bible *immediately convicts him* of his little/big mistakes and he repents and recounciles.
2) He had a strong soul tie with his parents and siblings which only made me feel rejected and worthless in the initial years of marriage. But the Bible taught him how to leave and cleave and the *soul tie is complety cut off* .He still honors them but yet knows the boundaries.
3) He used to have *2 credit cards* and spend a lot. But now the Bible has taught him to use *money wisely.*
4) He used to *judge others* but Gods word has convicted him to not to do that.
5) He used to be very upset for little things and sit with parents and bursts out his feelings about the happenings in office almost evsryday. I used to pray for Him to reach out to God first than anyone. The Bible Taught him to *pour out himself to the creator first.*
7) He used to badmouth about my parents a lot and never wanted to even talk about them. But Bible taught him to let go of his hurt feelings and now he has applied *medical insurance for my parents.*
8) we used to have lot of differences in bringing up the children as he wants me to follow what his parents did to him. But now the *Bible has taught him how to bring up the children.*
9) He used to hear a lot of *cinema songs in free time* and in the car with kids. But the Bible set him free from that habit too.
10) Even when I used to tell him to encourage his cousins to read Bible, he used to feel shy and also feared what they would say. After being blessed so much thru 6times of completely reading the Bible, now *he encourages others too.*
I have mentioned only few things but God changed him *thru His word more than I could ever imagine.* Thank God for helping me to witness that change everyday of my marriage.So request you to *please meditate the word everyday/regularly* .If your having a long list of changes that u want to see in ur loved ones, pls pray and encourage them to read the Bible for *all ur prayer points to become Praise points.*
