BSSR: skeptic to first love

Speed reading? Had heard about it 7+ years ago. But couldn't attend that program and I wasn't sure what or why or thr how. So when someone in our group shared that they finished reading bible in 2.5 months I was intrigued.  She told me it was bssr and audio bible.I googled and found it pretty interesting.  My bible reading was ok not great. Not like the time I woke up at 3 am when I was in class 8 to just devour the bible. I had an amazing friend and we raced each other voraciouly reading and falling in love with the Lord. Those days!

So back to 2025, I just wanted to give it a try. What do I have to loose? nothing. What was magnetic was

1. Kneel down to read.  ( After marriage I learnt to kneel down from.my husband. And loved it)But reading bible on knees? That was quite interesting. 

2. Physical bible. Been years since I read from a physical bible for daily reading. It.was always youversion and so very handy. 

These 2 along with the audio. Pencil or finger was enough to get me started.  As of today I have read 50 books using 2x speed. Kneel, physical bible. Early hours. I have learnt a lot and soaking in God's word is so refreshing. I want to do as often as I can. But finding a quiet spot at home after kids are awake is difficult. But am not giving up yet.(note: the actual bssr method is repeating it 30x,60x,100x on 4 books repeatedly before moving on)

This is amazing, it's been many years since I knelt for a long time. I was thinking I won't be able to do it again.

But didn't know how the time went and I knelt for around 50mins at a stretch 😃

 I kneel for prayer but for long time I was not able to.. but this I got involved and didn't realise that I was kneeling

BSSR: Wee hours

Starting this week

Completed 10 books. The fact that it will take only a few minutes is really encouraging to open my Bible in the wee hours of morning. Following the audio really keeps my mind from wandering.

Also I desire to read the same chapter later in The day slowly.

BSSR: eye hand ear coordination! 2x speed

I tried bssr for first time.. 

15minutes - completed Ezekiel1-10 on knee, eye and hand coordination.. It was of course very exciting to read thru so fast.. At times mind went wavering.. I had to stop and restart.. But when I was on it I needed more than 2x speed as my 👀 were travelling thru the verses faster than the audio..

Thank u Jesus.. Planning to do it early in the wee hours for undisturbed focus.. Keep me in prayers..

BSSR; Oh the Joy!

Would like to share a testimony here...After my miscarriage at 5 months last November, I've been facing a lot of negative thoughts, Anxieties and sleeplessness...I was shattered & didn't have any strength left in me and was hardly able to read the Bible with concentration for even 10mins..As soon as I start reading,some distractive thoughts would fill my head and I'll get immersed in them or even feel sad forgetting that I actually started to read the Bible..It was during that time I was introduced to Bssr and I really Praise God for that ❤️

Started reading from Jan 3 and now I can say that never has Bible reading been a more joyful thing for me than it's now.I can feel the joy i lost restored inside me ,my fears, Anxieties & negative thoughts vanishing away, wasting time in Social media  greatly reduced and am able to sleep better & peacefully.🙏🏻

Praise God for his word and for giving us his word to be so easily accessible!!
